Pakistan was handed a humiliating 47-run loss with an innings by the visitors. The hosts batted first and amassed 556 runs. In reply, the mighty England unleashed their fury. Harry Brook and Joe Root hammered Pakistan to help them register 823/7 before declaring the innings.

This was Shan Masood’s sixth Test match loss as the captain of his side. In fact, he became the first captain ever to lose six Test matches on a trot.
